We again started very early to finish off the the preparations for the day. When counting there were around 47 children today! We started with ‘God gave us a special book ’and then continued by teaching the children ‘my God is so big.’ Glenys (bunica) taught the children the new memory verse from Exodus ch 9 v 14, they were very quick to learn the words. Ken & Mary (bun & bunica – grandma and papa) then did the talk on the first 9 plagues, Ken dressed as Moses again acted the part out.
We then separated, and the younger children made bugs and the older children learnt the keywords of the day. We ended the day with the revision of the memory verse and some of the songs.
For dinner today, we went to Mary & Elijah’s house along with Sabin (Pastor), their son- Ovidiu, their grandsons -Benny and Andrew and their granddaughter- Dalia. When the main course arrived we were shocked at the amount of food that was given to us! Their were 2 full big platters of meat and potatoes, other vegetables and salad – least to say we were all very full at the end! We made plans with Mary & Elijah’s son to go and visit his work, as he is a metrological forecaster.
Later during the afternoon, Sarah went for a walk with one of Mihaela’s students, Alexandre and the news came to us that one of the little boys who has been coming to the Bible club had been severely bitten by a local dog, and has been rushed to hospital in Timisoara in an ambulance. Also, Glenys has not been too well and spent most of the afternoon in bed, she says she feels better now after a long sleep.
We hope tomorrow goes as well as today!
